Oxford Day at Cooperative Oxford Lab
The Lab will be open from 12:30 to 3:30 with the activities listed below.
There will be a shuttle operating between a bus stop at the Causeway Park and the Lab
- Tours of the research vessel R/V Laidly
- Electrofishing boat on display
- Build your own Remotely Operated Vehicle
- Build a buoy
- Paint your own Fish T-shirt (T-shirts provided)
- Fish tattoos and other activities for kids
- Coast Guard Auxiliary booth
- US Coast Guard display with boat
- Display tanks with striped bass, shad, sturgeon and snakeheads
- Critter tank with sturgeon, horseshoe crabs and other Bay creatures (a little more hands-on than the display tank)
- Fish marking/tagging exhibit
- Marine mammal and sea turtle exhibit
- Fish surgery exhibit
- Integrated Assessment (Comprehensive Bay Health Study) exhibit
- Crab exhibit
- Clam exhibit
- Poster and video displays
